The weather is warming up, it feels like summer has arrived and with the change of season comes a change in wardrobe, so for me that means time for a spot of shopping. So, when payday arrived last week, I had a bit of a shopping splurge and here is what I brought.
I love this AX Paris top! Butterfly print is everywhere right now and I love how it brightens up any outfit. Although it looks cropped, it falls below the waistline so it’s not midriff exposing and can be tucked in if you want to style it that way.
|Butterfly Print Top – £18|
I’ve been wearing it with shorts (my wardrobe staple throughout spring and summer), tucking it in to high waisted and paper bag shorts, and leaving loose for on the hip shorts. While on the topic of shorts, I also ordered these from Lipsy
Lipsy coral shorts – £32
I really like the paperbag shorts trend, they’re really flattering and look great with a blouse or T-shirt tucked in, giving a smart and stylish look. My only gripe was that they were a little too small and when I tried to exchange for the next size on the returns form, they don’t give you an option of doing so, which means I’m going to have to re-order and pay for delivery again. Not a great customer experience however I love these shorts, and love Lipsy clothes in general so will definitely re-order and maybe get them in cornflower blue too!
I’ve never really worn coral before, but this season I can’t get enough of it, so when I saw these cute coral sandals from Dorothy Perkins I knew I had to have them! I really struggle with shoes, I think I must be in-between sizes as every new pair gives me horrendous blisters and take forever to wear in, but thankfully not this pair! They are really comfortable, not too high and perfect for day and night.
Warehouse Wrap Dress – £30
These sleeveless wrap dresses are perfect to wear from the office to a night out and at £30 they’re really reasonable for Warehouse. I loved both colours so ordered them both to try on to see which I preferred and I think I’ll keep the navy dress as it’s so versatile and the darker colour makes it more flattering than the fuschia pink too.
So that was my payday splurge! I’d love to hear about your latest buys, so what have you treated yourself to recently?

Having adored the previous 2 Pixie Lott Lipsy collections, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the launch of this new range, and it was definitely worth the wait! I couldn’t wait to get the first glance at the new collection, I’d been repeatedly watching the pre-launch webisodes, sneaking a peak at the gorgeous pieces and starting to formulate my Pixie Lipsy wishlist…. and then it arrived. WOW, what a beautiful collection! I was in no way disappointed.
(Tip – If you haven’t ordered from Lipsy before (why on earth not?!), I’d recommend ordering up a size, especially if what you want is quite fitted or you’re in-between sizes, as it’s fairly snug sizing.)
Pixie looked absolutely STUNNING in her own collection jewel collar white shift dress, she really was the belle of the ball.
I love this gorgeous Pixie Lott cream studded dress that Rochelle from The Saturday’s is wearing, and how cute are her and Marvin as a couple? The dress that Mollie’s wearing is also in the Pixie Lott for Lipsy collection, but it isn’t available yet.
Emily Atack from The Inbetweeners and Dancing on Ice looked fab in this sexy Lipsy black cut-out dress.
Lipsy Side Cut Out Dress – £55
Pixie Lott, Mollie and Rochelle weren’t the only pop princesses at the party, girlband Parade and Dionne Bromsfield were also there and looking gorgeous.
And now for a bit of eye candy… Hello Jesse Metcalfe… oh, and the Hoff, Tinchy Stryder, Matt Cardle and Aiden Grimshaw of course!
It was a fabulous night, and great to see so much Lipsy under one roof! My love for Pixie Lott and Lipsy has grown and I can’t wait to receive my first (of many, I’m sure!) order and start wearing Pixie’s gorgeous new collection. Here’s what I’ve ordered.
|Pixie Floral Playsuit – £55||Pixie Embellished Top - £38||Pixie Pink Drape Dress – £58|
Thank you Lipsy for a wonderful party and such beautiful clothing! x

I love finding websites that transform the online shopping experience and the sites I’m loving the most right now are private sales and city deal websites because they give us access to amazing deals and discounts we would otherwise be completely clueless about. Here are a handful of my favourite savvy shopping sites which I can’t live without.
Ah Groupon, the love of my life! I honestly feel this could be bordering on obsession but this is my number 1 site of the moment. No other website gives me as much joy as this one and it has become my morning ritual to check out each and every Groupon deal as soon as the computer is on every single day! I do this not only to fulfill my own addiction, but also to bring you guys the top deals everyday too! If you haven’t already, go for it, sign up for Groupon emails, embrace the city deal love and start booking up weird and wonderful activities, restaurants, hotels and beauty treatments all at unbelievably great value . Don’t fight it, you too will find yourself falling in love with a website before you know it!
Secretsales.com is a members only private sales website. If you haven’t already, you will have to register to get access to their amazing deals, but it is absolutely worth filling out the sign up form and waiting a couple of days for your invite email as they have some really great deals that you wouldn’t want to miss out on. Every day you’ll find a collection of the most coveted brands and designer names at a fraction of their original price. Once you’re in the Secret Sales club you too can be head to toe in designer clothing and accessories at bargain prices. Click here to register.
Another private sales site for savvy shoppers, just like Secret Sales but with different brands and sales. Again, you have to register and then wait for your invite to arrive by email, but it’s completely worth it for up to 70% off designer clothing and much more. Current sales include Karen Millen, Lexon, Ultimo, Ray-Ban, Johnny Loves Rosie and Risk to name but a few. Click here to register.
These are 3 sites that I can’t recommend highly enough for private sales and amazing deals right now. If there are any sites that you love for finding great deals (whether it be for clothes, city deals or travel) please post a comment below as I’m always on the look out for more websites to occupy my online shopping addiction!

I wanted some smartish shorts that could be dressed up for the office or dressed down with a T-shirt. Chinos are a big trend this season, and I love the nautical look (nothing says summer quite like nautical or florals for me!), so these were the first pair I picked up – comfortable, stylish and practical, I love them already!
|Belted Chino Shorts – £18.99|
I’m loving paperbag shorts at the moment, they’re high waisted and really flattering. I was looking for a neutral colour so I chose this cute pair. Again, these can be dressed up or down depending on where you’re wearing them. I will team mine up with a cream blouse for the office or a vest top for a more casual look.
Paperbag Twill Shorts - £19.99
I carried the navy and neutral colour tones into my sandal selection too. So many times I’ll impulse buy pieces I think are great in a bold colour or a wacky print and then they rarely (or sometimes never) get worn because they don’t go with anything else in my wardrobe. So I’m trying to stop that by thinking about outfits that will work with the new item/s before buying.
Floral Wedge Sandals – £15.99
I love these ditsy print floral wedges, they’re so cute and give a pretty feminine touch to any outfit. They’re really comfortable too, although I found that I had to downsize because I couldn’t tie the ankle strap tight enough in my usual size. These will go with my new shorts, summer dresses and even jeans so I know these will get a lot of wear, especially on holiday.
Leather Plaited Sandals – £14.99
I’ve been looking for some flip flop style sandals like this for a while. I love the leather plaited detail, and the elasticated strap means they won’t fall off. I have to say that they do take a while to wear in because of the plaiting between the toes (I’ve got the blisters to prove it!) but once your feet are used to them, they’re super comfy, go with everything and can be worn from day to night.
New Look is a great place to shop, I managed to get 4 fantastic summer essentials for under £70. I know that I’ll wear all 4 of these pieces throughout spring and summer and for many years to come so it’s money well spent and a real bargain.

This is my first attempt at a blog post, so please forgive me for the terrible content, but we all have to start somewhere!
I’m no expert when it comes to fashion, beauty or buying the perfect gifts but I do love to shop and I also love the internet so I guess this blog will contain my ramblings on both; things that I want and websites that I like to shop from and anything else that crops up in day to day life which I feel a compulsion to air via the medium of blogging.
Wow, I guess this makes me a blogger… excellent, I’m always trying to find new things to add to the CV to make my life seem more interesting than it actually is so here’s another thing to add to the Interests/Hobbies section.
Oh, and rumour has it that bloggers get sent freebies aplenty, which would be rather nice to say the least for airing my dull views on the net. In case there is any truth in this rumour (and I’m hoping you don’t have to be a blogger extraordinaire such as the 14 year old Style Rookie herself, Tavi Gavinson, who earned herself a place on the front row of The Band of Outsiders Show next to Anna Wintour at New York Fashion Week to gain such privileges!) here are the items on the very top of my wishlist right now:
Ah the Mulberry Alexa, an absolute classic satchel style handbag that I’ve been lusting after for a very long time and has been known to leave me awestruck when I’ve passed one in a street or had the pleasure of being in touching distance on a crowded tube (not in a pickpocket kind of way – let me make that clear, but in a David Beckham starstruck, sudden urge to touch, kind of way… OK, I’d better stop with that one, I’m starting to weird myself out here!)
My dream holiday, as yet unaccomplished… so if anyone out there would like to send me tickets for this (let’s say 4 weeks max, I can’t be parted from my laptop longer that that!) I would be eternally grateful and would of course say amazing things about your wonderful company forever more! Oh and feel free to use Voyage Prive to get a 70% off bargain deal, saving yourself a small fortune in the process wouldn’t bother me one bit!!
At 28 years old, wrinkles are something I’m going to have to start worrying about in the very near future (or probably already should be) so this miracle cure is 3rd on the wishlist. Now I’m not sure what it does or how it does it exactly, but anything that costs £600 for 250ml has to be pretty amazing, right?!
I wouldn’t want to come across greedy, so I will limit my ultimate dream wishlist to 3…. for now! And on that note I think I shall wrap this post up…. Well, this blogging lark appears to be a piece of cake, I very much look forward to receiving these goodies, and I will let you know all about them as soon as they arrive!
